If I believed in reincarnation I am Parisian to my photographic F-stop heart. Once again Jax did us proud and booked us a 1933 houseboat on the river Seine beneath the Eifel tower where we sat on deck sipping our Spritzers (our latest fave tipple from Venice) watching the tour boats sail by laden with hundreds of tourists taking photos of us!
Last year we built our first French website, since everyone’s heard about the fact that Paris is the City of love and Romance, and every couple wants to go at least once in a lifetime to visit the city and where better for us to be located than at the base of the Eiffel Tower which is also a symbol of love and many women dream to have either their wedding or at least their engagement in Paris and often go to the top of the tower for their portraits.
Every couple that arrives in Paris wants to come to the Eiffel Tower. There are thousands of marriage proposals every year made at the Eiffel Tower. The 20,000 lights twinkle for 5 minutes on the hour, every hour that makes it so romantic, the location in the heart of the city, the impressive view of the city from the top of the Tower, every element composes a unique its own story that makes the city the most wonderful city in the world.
One of my favourite haunts has to be Montmartre at sunset and after dark. After sunset, the city of love is still alive thanks to obscure lights that all together illuminate all the alleys full of lovers. As a professional wedding photographer I really enjoy the feeling of romance and the city during the night. It looks like a secret place, waiting to be discovered. Having family living in France makes this country the perfect host for my photography.
